Marcus Goings and I grew up best friends beginning at age 6. We first met in first grade at Hyatt Military Academy (HMA) for boys in the mountains of Virginia. We were definitely an odd couple. Marcus ate up the Military BS, while I could barely tolerate it. Marcus came from a long line of Military officers going back to the Civil War with three family members being graduates of West Point.
