I never enjoyed going to Upper Dare parties. My next-door neighbours' parties are famous around the neighbourhood. Sometimes I think that they are considered the social event of the year for the wives and girlfriends that live in our quiet cul-de-sac. I wasn't thrilled when I found an invitation in my letterbox.
